Team Lead-Design at Cedar Interiors, Kochi, India
"Getting to study in the only Island city of England was a great experience. Being an Interior Design student with a love for History and Architecture, I was overwhelmed with curiosity to explore the place with so much of histories, its ancient art and architecture around the city. The beaches there, is another thing to be mentioned that was just at walking distance from the city. Getting to study and explore at the same time actually brightened up my stay in the city. I met Hetal at the beginning of my academy, she was a great support and actually the person who inspired me to get to explore the place around. I know I did not make wrong choice on selecting my University. It was worth it!!!"
This is Shriya from Punjab, India. I first met Hetal, when I had come for an exchange program way back in 2011. Me and my friend, we were both new and it was our first time in the UK. Here, our course leader introduced us to Hetal. Within a few days we met her and she familiarised us with Portsmouth. She took us around the city. When we homesick for home cooked Indian meal, she invited us for dinner and made delicious food. Also, she helped us know what all was necessary with how to write out dissertation and how to go about it. When I had landed my internship in London and had to leave Portsmouth for good she brought her car and helped me with my luggage and dropped me off at the bus station. On the whole, it has been my pleasure of knowing this amazing woman who is kind and polite. She’ll help you in any way she can.
"Hetal has been a backbone during my first year outside of India. When I applied to Portsmouth University, for direct 3 rd year entry onto Interior Design Course, she supported me throughout the journey of writing a statement of purpose to documentation for the application to the university. Once my application was accepted, she also helped me to prepare for visa interviews and gave insights onto the procedure. One of the most stressful time was during the period of getting CAS letter from the university and/or any additional document that I needed to present at the Embassy in India; she worked with me constantly. Also, once I was here in the UK, she invited me to her house for dinner, where she introduced me to few other Indian students studying at the university, which helped me a lot emotionally –to get out of homesickness. She helped me to settle down in this foreign land, and kept in touch to check on me often. I am very happy to recommend her services, as she is very warm, friendly and easy to approach."
